As I am preparing for Nepal round two there is one big question that stands out above the rest: How do I communicate back home?!
The Problem: The district of Nepal I am venturing to is so remote and at such a high altitude that cellphone service is well…unlikely to say the least. Some satellite phones are not even covered here!
The Solution: inReach satellite phone. If you want to track my travels, simply click this link: https://share.delorme.com/ChelseaLeander
I’m going to try and update it as much as possible and plan on blogging whenever I make it back safely from Humla to Kathmandu (Nepal’s main city).
|Humla is located in the far NW part of Nepal. It is one of the poorest districts in all of Nepal but apparently beautiful beyond words (as is the rest of Nepal)! Elevations begins at 9,000ft as it is located in the Himalayan Mountains.|
