Esthea wore sunglasses, so she had big white circles around her eyes. I busted out laughing when she took them off and I saw the white lines. She said that I just looked tan…maybe I should get dirty more often.
Yesterday morning I spoke in community meeting (which is basically in front of the whole crew). For some reason, it had really been put on my heart to speak, so I prayed about it for a good while & then decided that I’m only here for a bit longer, so it was now or never. That very day, I was sitting at lunch and who should sit next to me but our chaplain Kevin. As soon as he sat down next to me, I thought to myself, “OK God, loud and clear.”
At lunch I asked him if I could speak, and before I knew it, I was up in front of everyone speaking on the topic of “God’s Blog”. But…that’s a whole different story. It went better than I expected and I’m glad I got to speak before I left.
After speaking, Esthea and I went on Zimmy Johns to the Ghanaian Embassy because Esthea needed to pick up her visa and I didn’t want her going alone. The Zimmy John ride took about 30 minutes there, and 30 minutes back with bumpy roads and lots of turns. Plus, Esthea’s Zimmy John ran out of gas, so my driver and I had to go get some for them. It was really fun, but we got pretty dirty. Here’s a picture of us after our little adventure:
